What a lifespan June 1, 2006

I have just read that it takes 400 years for plastic to breakdown in a landfill

500 years for a styrofoam cup to decompose

An amazing 1 million years for a glass bottle

200 - 500 years for a aluminium can

50 - 80 years for a rubber boot sole

Up to 50 years for leather

20 - 30 years for a plastic film container

10 - 20 years for a plastic bag

The lifespan of the planet? Well I guess that is up to us all.

Little people May 10, 2006

There is an old African proverb it goes…
if many little people
in many little places
do many little deeds
They can change the face of the world.
Well that’s exactly how zoozoo2 feels. It doesn’t matter how small it is just do it.
As surfers, snowboarders and scuba d’s we can play our small part in determining what happens to our planet by the consumer choices we make and the little things we do.

We think it is worth it May 5, 2006

To shout loud and often about:
Prohibition of child labour (children should be children, to learn and play and have fun)
Prohibition of forced labour (no sweatshop labour)
Prohibition of harassment (no sweatshop labour)
Regulated work hours
Prohibition of discrimination
Health and safety (no sweatshop labour)
Preservation of the environment
Protecting our planet
Promoting third world rural development
Buying organic
and of course Zoozoo2

Just be very… April 25, 2006

I heard this somewhere the other week. Can’t remember where. It was to do with starting up in business I think. I just like it.
Be very cool
Be very new
Be very newsworthy
Be very important
Be very useful
Just be very
