Extreme carving

  • We think carving began with alpine snowboarding at the end of the eighties probably in Europe, It is an alternative style of riding and as the name suggests it is about pushing carving to the limit. The aim is to get the whole body in contact with the snow, sliding down the piste lying and linking all the the turns.

The best kind of slope for extreme carving is steep, wide and smooth. You need plenty of room to get those turns in smoothly. You also need speed so a steep slope is a good slope. The smoother the slope the more the body can kiss the snow.
